Cornell Cooperative Extension of Erie County is hiring a full-time Farm to School Coordinator for the E. Aurora, NY office.
Springville-Griffith has been chosen as one of several school districts in Erie County to be part of a Farm to School Program initiated through the Erie County Cornell Cooperative Extension. Cornell Cooperative Extension is now seeking a Farm to School Coordinator. The Farm to School Coordinator will be responsible for program development, delivery, assessment, and evaluation along with administrative direction, management, and coordination to support increasing the volume and variety of local farm products procured by Erie County schools/districts for inclusion in school meals programs; and, educating students about local farm products and NYS agriculture. The Coordinator will work directly with the Buffalo Public School District, Eden Central School District, Alden Central School District and Springville Griffith Central School District to develop Farm to School programs and connect them to local farms, as well as share best practices with other Erie County schools as appropriate.
