IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Welcome to the 2024 - 2025 school year! We have a lot happening in our building and recognize that every year students may be feeling anxious with the start of a new school year, so we will continue to place a strong emphasis on social emotional learning while focusing on building positive classroom and school community experiences.
Springville-Griffith Institute High School is a special place to learn and grow, and we are proud to have high expectations for each student while we strive to make connections and help them feel valued, accepted, and safe. Our Springville-Griffith motto of “A Place Where Everyone Finds Value & Meaning Every Day” will continue to guide this mission to provide a rigorous and joyful inclusive school environment.
Our overarching goal is to encourage active student engagement to foster a lifetime love for learning. Partnering with families will continue to be crucial for our success. We encourage families to stay connected and informed again this year by following our district website for important updates and information.

Welcome back! We are excited to share some important updates and information in food services that are available in our district for the upcoming school year.
Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)
We are proud to announce that our district is eligible for the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). This means that all students in our district are eligible to receive free breakfast and lunch every school day. Those families include students in grades UPK-12, and Cam P-tech There is no need for families to submit individual applications to qualify for these meals. This includes ONE breakfast and ONE lunch. Anything more that a student would like would have to be purchased.
Breakfast After the Bell
To ensure that every student starts the day well-nourished and ready to learn, we are implementing the Breakfast After the Bell program. This initiative allows students to enjoy a nutritious breakfast even after the first bell rings, providing a convenient option for those who may have missed breakfast at home.
After School Snacks
We also offer a nutritious after school snack program, available to all students who participate in after-school activities. This ensures that students have access to healthy snacks to keep them energized and focused throughout their extended school day.
Free and Reduced Price Meal Applications
It is important for families to complete the Free and Reduced Price Meal Application through the MySchoolApps platform, or with our paper applications available in all building main offices. Completing this application helps ensure that our district receives the appropriate funding and resources to continue to provide services to all students. Completed paper applications should be submitted to: Laura Watson/Director of Culinary Services.
MySchoolBucks
For added convenience, our district uses MySchoolBucks to manage meal accounts. Families can use this platform to put money on their student account to pay for meals, add funds for a la carte items, monitor their child’s meal activity, and much more. This easy-to-use service is designed to give families greater control and visibility over their children’s meal transactions. More information can be found at www.myschoolbucks.com
Menus and Important Updates throughout the year can be found on our website: www.sgiculinary.org
Student Medication
All medications must have a valid prescription and be dropped off to the school nurse, in person, during regular school hours by a parent or guardian. The medications will be signed into a medication log at that time by the school nurse. Students must not transport medications to school themselves under any circumstances. Contact the Nurse's Office at 716-592-3253 with questions.
