SGI’s “Little Shop of Horrors” has Blood In-Bloom!

The Musical Society of Springville-GI High School is currently in rehearsal for their production of Little Shop of Horrors! Approximately forty actors have been rehearsing since late November, and have been recently joined by nearly twenty crew members, and a dozen pit musicians, all of whom are students. There are also twenty teachers and adult volunteers and musicians who are involved in the production, direction, and construction of the musical. The story focuses on our wistful hero, Seymour, and his beloved Audrey as they struggle to find some way out of the lowlife-urban streets of Skid Row while working at Mrs. Mushnik’s flower shop. But when Seymour discovers an seemingly inconspicuous–but bloodthirsty–plant, which he names Audrey II, his entire life changes. Little Shop of Horrors (book and lyrics by Howard Ashman, music by Alan Menken) will be performed in Lyle G. Palmer Auditorium on March 10th and 11th at 7:30 PM and March 12th at 2:00 PM. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students and seniors, and will be available at the door, as well as at starting February 24th.
