Springville Girls Cross Country wins ECIC Division IV League Title. The Springville Boys finished second in Division IV.  The girls raced against Cleveland Hill and JFK schools at Cleveland Town Park.  The SGI Girls defeated both teams by the score of 15-50 to run the seasonal league meets undefeated and winning the division.  Sonya Krezmien, Elle Russell, Gwen and Samantha Fruehauf, and Morgan Lukert were the first five finishers in the tri-meet.  Gabbey Pfiefer and Miya Domes finished before the other teams’ 3rd runners to help the team score.  The girls next meet is at Evangola Park next week Friday.  Congratulations to the girls and good luck!

The SGI Boys Cross Country Team finished second in the league in their best finish in the 10 years that the sport has come back to Springville.  The boys ran very well to defeat JFK 25-30, and Cleveland Hill 24-31.  The race was close half way through, but toward the end of the race, Nick Abdo lead the team with a tight pack of 4 behind him.  In the pack Kurt Uschold, Nathan Myers, Zack Peterman and Brett Russell showed their strength and out numbered the other schools.  Elliot Emley, Justin Paler and Luke Waterman ran strong races to help separate Springville from the other teams.
