Varsity Girls Basketball Take On Cleve Hill

The varsity girls basketball team dropped a tough game on the road Friday night to the number 6 small school in WNY, Cleve Hill, by a score of 42-35. The girls were down by as much as 11 points in the 2nd half but cut it to 4 points late in the third behind a tremendous effort from Julia Krzemien. Despite coming up short the girls showed great toughness on defense led by Lexy Sopko and Sydney Rosati.  Both girls gave maximum effort on the defensive side and helped hold down a very strong Cleve Hill team. Other excellent performances were turned in by Ivette Lewandowski, Carrie Dickinson, and Leah Frank. The girls return to action on Tuesday night when they travel to Maryville in a non-league game.
