The Springville Varsity Baseball team has an 8-3 record in ECIC 4 and 9-4 overall after defeating non-league Pioneer last night 9-6.  Landon Roy drove in four runs on two hits to lead Springville past Pioneer.  Roy tripled in the fifth inning, scoring three runs, and doubled in the third inning, scoring one.  After being down 4-0, Springville flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fifth, scoring six runs on four hits.  Drew Reynolds stepped on the hill first for Springville.  The starting pitcher gave up four hits and five runs (zero earned) over four innings, striking out two and walking two.  Alex Brown appeared in relief for Springville.  The team collected 9 hits in the game.  Hunter Runser, Landon Roy and Zach Evans each collected two hits for the Griffs.  The team ran wild on the base paths, accumulating six stolen bases.  The team hosts Eden at home tonight 5:00 pm.
