The Springville Girls Varsity Swim Team continues their remarkable season, improving to 6-1 after a dominant 75-16 victory over Maryvale.

This meet was extra special as it marked the celebration of the team's seniors: Madisyn Eysaman, Taylor Casey, Maggie Parish, Ella Ploetz, and Griselda Salossa, who were honored for their hard work and dedication throughout their swim careers. The seniors made the lineup and helped lead the Lady Griffs to victory, setting the stage for one final, crucial meet against Alden this Thursday at home.

Personal Best Performances: The Lady Griffs showcased their growth, with several swimmers setting personal bests across multiple events: Magdalena Parish excelled in the 200 Y IM, finishing with a time of 3:11.00 (+0.8%) and posted a strong swim in the 50 Y Back with a time of 36.27 (+2.0%). Maeve Annunziata claimed first place in the 100 Y Back with a time of 1:19.80 (+2.5%) and swam the 50 Y Free in 30.16 (+0.8%), showcasing her versatility. Senior Madisyn Eysaman continued to make her mark in the 50 Y Free with a personal best of 32.40 (+1.8%). Sophia Lightcap hit her personal best in the 50 Y Free, touching the wall at 30.63 (+0.4%). Ella Ploetz dominated in her events, securing second in the 50 Y Free with a time of 29.58 (+1.1%) and taking first in the 100 Y Free with an impressive 1:04.92 (+5.7%). Brooke Ruzycki finished second in the 100 Y Free with a time of 1:06.18 (+0.8%), another strong performance in the sprint events. Kendra Cook continued her reign in distance swimming, securing first in the 500 Y Free with a time of 6:34.48.

Looking ahead with just one meet remaining against Alden, the Lady Griffs are in prime position to close out an already outstanding season on a high note.
